25 Women's Ways to Shop in Hong Kong...

Jewelry’s a girl’s best friend...
I shop at Super Star Jewelry at the Furama Hotel in Central. They have a huge selection of baubles and trinkets in stock but they are also ready to make up any type of jewellery design you bring to them. This shop is reputable and prices are good with service to match.
Christine Smith, Public Relations, Hong Kong

More jewelery...
Power Jewelery Company in Kowloon (19A Hankow Road) are very nice people and, from my experience, tend not to rip you off. Mention Qantas staff-- owner Christine will be helpful and most charming. Tel: 2376 1782, e-mail: jacquiho@netvigator.com
Ruth Wilson, Quantas Flight Attendant, Australia

Still more jewelery...
I love the bracelets sold at Sanaco in the Admiralty Centre in Central. They stock a lot of French and Italian designers which are just great!

Women’s shoes made to measure...
Favorite ShoesWant a pair of your old shoes that you’d love to have copied? Looking for something extra special in footwear? At Nancy & Prima in the Peninsula Hotel Shopping Arcade (BL5B) they will create your very own made to measure footwear in just three to four days for about $US120 to $US150.
Ellen Cheng, Hong Kong

Her larger shoe sizes...
True, all women were not created equal so in Hong Kong I have to look harder to find larger shoe sizes (9 & 10). My suggestion is to stop in at Nine West in Pacific Place, Admiralty. I’m usually successful there.
Lisa P, Kindergarten teacher, Hong Kong

I wait for sales and then I buy all my shoes at Nine West. Some of their prices are at times better than they are in New York.
Christine Smith, Ritz-Carlton PR, Hong Kong

Women’s fabulous footwear...
There is a shoe shop called Vickie on Li Yuen St. E which certainly was a hit with myself and the other girls I was travelling with. I purchased a few pairs of fantastic beaded mules which have made all my friends at home extremely jealous and only cost £23.
Aoife, London, England

She shops for discount runners...
The stores in Wanchai are mainly sports shoe stores -- best place for women to shop if they are looking for good running and walking shoes.
Lee Ridder, Melbourne, Australia

A Bonus Tip -- Better Bargaining Power...I live here...

My mom used to live in Hong Kong and this is what she taught me. In the markets and small street stalls, tourists are often charged more than the local people. So it’s smart for you to say that you are a local when you are bargaining.
