For International Women’s Day 2021, we celebrate the wisdom of women, with Evelyn’s photographs and books as a source of inspiration.
In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, we asked our JourneyWoman community to share their photos of women, mothers and daughters from around the world and share the stories behind the photos.
A woman is made up of so many strong and beautiful facets that are overshadowed by the emphasis on the shape of her body. It was then that I knew what this year’s exhibit would be about.
I recently spied a playful sign in a craft market that read, ‘Who Runs The World… Girls Do!’ I bought one of those signs for each one of my granddaughters to inspire them to work hard and to demand the gender equality they need, want, and deserve.
Wonder Woman is a super heroine who appears in comic books. She’s gifted with many powers and skills, a heroine who stands for justice, love, peace, caring and gender equality. I like to believe that more than a bit of Wonder-Woman exists in Every-Woman around the world.
We live in very different parts of the world and come in diverse shapes and sizes yet beneath that skin and in our hearts, we are all the same. Celebrating the Diversity of Women around the world
For International Women’s Day in 2013, JourneyWoman Founder Evelyn Hannon curates photographs from blogger-photographers, capturing a moment in the life of a woman somewhere in the world.
