Lola Akinmade, international bestselling author, keynote speaker, and award-winning travel photographer, will be hosting the first women-only trip to Antarctica in February 2027 with Aurora Expeditions. In addition to Akinmade, special guest and former NASA astronaut Dr. Sandra H. “Sandy” Magnus will be aboard the Sylvia Earle.

As it develops its women-only product, Aurora Expeditions is collaborating with JourneyWoman to design programs and services specifically geared to women, including wellness activities, culinary options, lecturers and speakers. Insights will also come from JourneyWoman’s recent research “Invisible No More: The Ageless Adventuress” provide data to help Aurora meet the needs of all women, including mobility, accessibility and activity levels.
