Women’s Travel Tip: Great Fish Restaurant in Venice, Italy

Last updated on June 25th, 2021

Enjoy this tip about Venice, Italy from our community!

“Great food in Venice..

I live in London and took a long weekend in Venice. Fabulous! Trattoria alla Madonna – Calle della Madonna, San Polo 594 is near Rialto Bridge and a 10 minute walk from San Marco Square.

This lively fish restaurant is popular with tourists and Venetians alike. My friends and I ordered the grilled fish and the pasta plate (Spaghetti al Vongole) which were divine. The waiters are great characters and our very friendly server was telling me his life story within minutes.

The one thing he failed to accomplish was to get me to try Spaghetti with Squid Ink. I may like to wear black but eating it was too traumatic. (“Friendly server” took it away without question when I grimaced).”
