Empowering women to create positive change through travel

by Carolyn Ray, CEO and Publisher, JourneyWoman

I’m thrilled to share a first for JourneyWoman – announcing Women’s Travel Wisdom, a five-day travel and wellness retreat designed to empower women to create positive change through travel. I’ve been working on this very special event for months, in partnership with Doni Belau, CEO and Founder of Girls’ Guide to Paris.  Doni is one of the original members of our Women’s Travel Advisory Council and is a pure powerhouse with a heart of gold. I am so honoured to be creating this experience with her.

Drawing on the wisdom of best-selling authors, life coaches, activists, award-winning photographers and entrepreneurs, Women’s Travel Wisdom features inspiring speakers and workshops led by women who are coming in from around the world. Our aspiration is that this experience will provide women with the inspiration, knowledge and skills you need to change the world. Our speakers are rockstars in their field – internationally known, respected and revered. It is an honour that they accepted our invitation to join this retreat.

This isn’t a conference or a festival – it’s a retreat. And in the spirit of healing and wellness, it will be an alcohol-free, vegetarian event, as we’re conscious of our impact on the earth and on animals. The venue is a natural, holistic, serene place that invites meaningful conversations — all of our sessions will be outside, in nature, where we have space to breathe and connect.

With a capacity of only 80 women, we will all be lifelong friends by the end of this – and our speakers are staying with us the entire time, not popping in and out. This is important to them too.

More information, speaker biographies and the full event schedule will be available soon at www.womenstravelwisdom.com.  We’re also inviting sponsors to contact us at info@womenstravelwisdom.com.

Please save the date….our 80 spots will sell out quickly. I hope you can join us at this inaugural event, so focus on yourself and consider how we can start the healing process – for ourselves and the world.
