Our “Women’s Travel Wisdom” Retreat Empowers Women to Think Big

JourneyWoman™ and Girls’ Guide to Paris today officially announced the keynote speakers for the inaugural “Women’s Travel Wisdomsymposium designed to empower women to effect positive change through travel. The event will be hosted at the Mandala Springs Wellness Center in Cobb, California from October 20-24, 2022.

Drawing on the wisdom of best-selling authors, life coaches, activists, award-winning photographers and entrepreneurs, Women’s Travel Wisdom features inspiring speakers and workshops to empower women with the inspiration, knowledge and skills to create positive change. In the spirit of healing and wellness, it will be an alcohol-free, vegetarian event held outdoors in a natural, holistic, serene place that invites meaningful conversation.  

Our retreat is designed for women who want to find their own voice, practice mindfulness, and change their lives for the better

Over the five days, attendees can participate in hands-on workshops and interactive sessions on topics such as mindfulness, personal empowerment, animal conservation, travel ethics, overcoming fear, living the life of your dreams and how to deal with things when they go awry. Plus, there will be yoga, massage, meditation, dancing, nature walks, healthy meals and a unique sound healing experience

Keynotes Lola Akinmade Åkerström, Doni Belau, Diana Eden, Caren Osten, Brenda Holder, Debbie Phillips  Loung Ung, and Carolyn Ray, will share their own inspirational stories to overcome fear, manage the unexpected and live the life of their dreams. 

Workshop leaders, including Amanda Burgess, Robyn Griggs-Lawrence, Nora Livingstone, Shawna Robins, Krista Stanley, will provide action-oriented tools and guidance to help women be more intentional with their travels. The experience will include mindfulness, meditation, wellness, ethics and Indigenous medicine walks help women reconnect to themselves, and to nature.
