JourneyWoman Holiday Social: Join us on December 16

Last updated on December 18th, 2021

Connect with women who love travel

This year’s virtual Holiday Social is on Thursday, December 16 at 7 pm ET. (Please check your local time zone here).

Not only is this a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded women passionate about travel, it’s also a chance to get to know our Women’s Advisory CouncilTwo council members, Rosemary Neave from New Zealand and Dr. Mary Clark from Michigan, will be my technology savvy co-hosts for this event. To add to the fun, we invite you to wear a beloved item you picked up on your travels (like a hat, scarf or earrings). You can sign up here.

For those who can’t join us, we’ll carry our Social over into our Friday Community Call which is on December 17 at 10 am ET, 4 pm in the UK, or 8 pm in India. Check your local time zone here. This will be our last call of the year — all are welcome. Or, you can come to both! Please sign up for a Community Call here

Both events will be a pay-what-you-can format, and we’ll be making. donation to a non-profit as we do with all of our events. More details on this organization soon/

Special Guest: Brenda Holder

We have a special guest joining us this year: Brenda Holder, a Knowledge Keeper of Traditional Medicine, Owner of Mahikan Trails and Chair of Indigenous Tourism Alberta. A traditional Métis guide from the Kwarakwante of Jasper, Brenda will share her wisdom about how we can reconnect to ourselves and the earth, and learn from the teachings of our ancestors.

Brenda will share her wisdom on the lessons we’ve learned in this time, and perform a traditional tea ceremony to appreciate what is in our life now and the warmth that mint tea brings through our bodies. (Please have a cup of mint tea so that you can participate.)
