As travellers, we know how important nature is to our future
On Earth Day in April 2020, we formed a partnership with Tree Sisters to help reforest our planet.. Trees are the lungs of our planet and every effort to improve our environment serves all humankind. Our partnership focuses on reforesting areas like the rain forests of Brazil, the upland forests of Mount Kenya, Mount Bamboutos in Cameron, Khasi Hills in North East India, and mangroves in Madagascar and Mozambique.
The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us that our actions have profound consequences, good and bad. We’ve adopted new behaviours, re-examined our role in making our communities safe and healthy and witnessed a spirit of renewal that is a testament to our resiliency.
Ironically, our Earth is fast becoming a grateful beneficiary of this global crisis. The resurgence of wildlife, the healing of waterways and the abatement of urban pollution is evidence that healing is pervasive. The lessons learned must not be ignored, allowing a return to the past but rather applied to further our acts of generosity in pursuit of our recovery.
