The strength of a woman’s recommendation

In September, we’re launching a new monthly email-only feature called “Things She Loves.”

Long-time JourneyWoman readers will remember this section from the original website, which featured practical, women-recommended products and services to make solo travel easier and safer. If you’re not on our mailing list please sign up here.

Our first issue debuts on Septmber 27 and is all about “Double-Duty Packing.” In this, we look at the items we can bring with us on our solo travels that do ‘double duty’, thus reducing what we have to cram in our carry-on! For example, Judy recommends a linen shawl that also serves as a travel blanket, rolled-up neck pillow, headscarf, towel… you get the idea!

Every month, we’ll have a different focus for Things She Loves and invite you to share your tips and advice.

Sign up now at JourneyWoman.com to join our mailing list so you don’t miss our inaugural issue of Things She Loves! This will not be available on our website, so you can only receive it through email. Make sure you add JourneyWoman to your safe senders list and check your junk mail so that you receive every issue.

Issues to date:

  •  September 2022: Double-Duty Packing
  • October 2022: Travel Technology
  • November/December 2022: Holiday Joy Gift Guide
  • January 2023: Money and Time Saving Travel Tips
  • February 2023: Travel Intimates: Bras and Underwear

Evelyn Hannon was a big fan of these undies, which you can wash in the sink before bed and hang to dry so that they’re ready to wear in the morning. 100% knit silk is thin and thermal and wicks moisture off your body in hot climates, good for all weather and doesn’t take up much space! We always strive to use real photos from our own adventures, provided by the guest writer or from our personal travels. However, in some cases, due to photo quality, we must use stock photography. If you have any questions about the photography please let us know.
