Connect with women on Aurora’s small ships

Our partnership with Aurora Expeditions doesn’t just open doors to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations – we are actively changing the industry to give more space and voice to us, to you: women.

In February 2027, Aurora is hosting the first-ever women’s expedition to Antarctica aboard the Sylvia Earle, named after the accomplished marine biologist, oceanographer, conservationist and explorer.  This trip, “Antarctica: Fly the Drake”, will begin in Punta Arenas, Chile on February 23, 2027, fly over the Drake Passage in both directions and return on March 4, 2027.  There is no single supplement for the first 10 bookings, and an 15% single supplement for the next 14 bookings. Women must use code “Journey24” to get this pricing for this trip and any Aurora voyage.  Read more here.

In this special webinar, we’ll explore Aurora’s journeys around the globe – from the remote Arctic wilderness to the sun-drenched coasts of Croatia and the tropical waters of Costa Rica. With immersive, small ship expeditions and travel experiences with a maximum of 130 passengers, Aurora travels to the world’s wildest and most remarkable destinations – Antarctica, the Arctic and beyond.

Carolyn is helping Aurora Expeditions develop the first all-women expedition to Antartica. She’ll be in the Antarctic from Feb 20 – March 3 and will share her thoughts upon her return.

Elena Wimberger, Expedition Leader, Aurora Expeditions

Elena’s penchant for adventure began at a young age while reading tales of polar explorers such as William Scoresby and Ernest Shackleton. The pull to the wild and unknown has taken hold ever since. Between various levels of academic education, she has directed her energies towards developing her skills and knowledge of the great outdoors. Born and raised in the pacific northwest of the United States, Elena grew up enjoying the various mountain ranges her home area has to offer. She has worked asa ski instructor and Wilderness First Responder in the Cascade and Olympic mountains. After receiving her B.A. in Politics and Spanish, Elena backpacked 4000kms across the United States, starting at the Mexican border and finishing in Canada. Other favourite trips include a two-month backpacking trip through Patagonia and tramping through the hut-systems in New Zealand.
