Central Park
Sally recommends NapYork Central which has a women’s only floor, is very clean, and has private rooms to rooms shared with others in an ensuite. It is safe, a great location, and a good price.

Marriott Marquis
Times Square
Diana says “I book a hotel right on Times Square, the Marriott Marquis, which has the advantage of being a few short blocks to all the theatres and restaurants. Proximity is a plus; I can walk everywhere. No hailing cabs, something I haven’t done in years. And close enough for me to duck back to the hotel for naps.”

Julie says “It was reasonably priced at $210. a night. It was a full suite – bedroom, bathroom, Living Room, full kitchen with a stove, fridge and microwave, kettle, dishes, cutlery. There are various sizes of rooms. It is an older building that has been renovated. It was clean and had everything I needed in it. Air Conditioned, has a safe, 24-hour front desk, towels switched daily, and luggage storage. In the Lower East Side Of NYC – a few blocks from subways and a Whole Foods Grocery Store 5 minutes away. It is a working neighbourhood instead of a touristy area, but I felt safe.”

Library Hotel

Anne recommends the Library Hotel. She says “Wonderful staff. Near Grand Central, NY Public Library. Nice little rooftop bar.”

MaKoa says “Broadway Plaza Hotel @ Broadway & 27th. Excellent walkability. Several yummy restaurants are close by (check out Hill Country BBQ, & Flatiron Room on 26th). Really liked that Broadway is closed to motor traffic at 27th, so very quiet despite being on Broadway. The train is about 1-2 blocks away.”

Melissa says “A London friend recommended the Citizen M to me. I stayed at the Citizen M in NYC and it was just what I needed. Tiny room. Great hotel services. Decent price.”

Nat recommends the Sixty LES hotel and says “Great location, close to subway stations and convenient bus lines, Kat’s Deli, Brooklyn Bridge, and very cool streets with fun places to eat, galleries, ultra-cool shops. It has a rooftop lap pool with a bar. The whole hotel has a cool vibe, the rooms are a very good size for the price, I found it excellent value.”

The Draper Hotel
Midtown
Karen recommends The Draper Hotel which is attractively set in the Fifth Avenue district of New York. The Draper New York, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is located a 7-minute walk from Bryant Park, 600 yards from Macy’s and a 5-minute walk from Empire State Building. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and an ATM. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar.

The Muse New York
Midtown
Darlene recommends the Muse Hotel and says “It’s super close to Times Square, but the long block makes it far away from the mayhem.” The Muse New York is only within 0.6 mi of Central Park and Radio City Music Hall. Times Square is also within walking distance and the Jacob K Javits Convention Center is 1.7 mi away.

Midtown
Karen recommends Hotel Scherman, which is a boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. All rooms feature pillow-top mattresses and guests will have access to daily newspapers and housekeeping services A continental breakfast is served every morning and concierge services are available on-site. Guests will find several theatres and restaurants within 1969 feet of the property. Times Square is 1640 feet away.
