Thank you for signing up for our newsletters. Founded by the iconic Evelyn Hannon, JourneyWoman started publishing a women’s solo travel newsletter in 1994 and then moved online in 1997, making JourneyWoman the first women’s travel website in the world. In 2019, I was invited to continue Evelyn’s legacy. In 2024, we celebrate our 30th anniversary.

JourneyWoman is both a website and a community. We publish about 30 articles a month written by our team of women travel writers – including first-hand travel tips, destination features and articles that share our journeys and wisdom as women.  We curate these in a monthly newsletter with articles intended to inspire purposeful travel. We also provide our readers with special travel deals and discounts from our partners in our Women’s Travel Directory, which include tours, retreats, places to stay and small ships. And, we occassionally host special events, meetups and webinars with authors, women over 50 and other sessions intended to help you travel safely and well.

We hope you’ll spend some time exploring our website, revel in the wisdom of women and share yours with us. We are a small team passionate about travel, focused exclusively on women over 50.
